Picking schools in RTG?

I was wondering does everybody go pick the big schools like Bama UT etc or do some go to small schools? Is there a strategy to picking schools? Love the game so far!

I try to take into consideration where I would want to go and the pitches that interest me.

What I usually do is pick three schools that I really like (for example this year my initial three will likely be Notre Dame, San Diego St and Old Dominion, who will also be my school for the Season Showdown). Then after each game, I'll pick the one of the three schools that are interested in me that I'm most interested in. In the end though, I generally pick one of my initial three schools to play for.

I usually just pick some big school and try to shatter all the records.

This year though, I might use a shorter schedule, and only play until I'm a 2 or 3 star prospect, then force myself to go to a smaller school and see what kind of career I can have.
