Getting CPU to run more?

First off let me say that I am officially in love with this game. Just finished an old fashioned Texas shootout between Baylor and TTU at Cowboys stadium. Both teams well over 400 yards of offense. Seastrunk is a beast.

Anyways, I have been noticing that the CPU is not gaining enough rushing yards. In this game Texas Tech ran it 4 times for a total of...negative 3 yards. I know its Texas Tech but come on, 4 times? I played Boise and they only got 22 yards. This is on default AA.

Anyone know of a way to get the CPU to call more run plays just to balance things out?

Yeah I had this problem too. I was ODU and I was playing against ECU. They got 11 yards...maybe changing play book but that's unrealistic...

I am seeing plenty of running from the cpu. I've played 3 games now, and have seen more passing , but the cpu is running 25-30 times a game.

If it's an issue with YARDS change your sliders/difficulty. If it's an issue with ATTEMPTS change the coaching sliders . Go to Team Management > Edit Coaches.

It's an issue with attempts. I assume I have to edit each coach (or at least the ones that don't run enough)?

Yes. But playing six minutes isn't going to help ya. You need to play at least 10-15 minute quarters to get enough running plays. It doesn't give the CPU enough time to play to their strategy. Instead they're playing to the situation. Which means when time is short they'll pass more.

Re: Getting CPU to run more?

8 minute quarters I have found to be best. and also certain teams just run the ball more than others. I have played teams who are completely balanced like Alabama running 28 times and passing 31 times and teams like florida who ran way more 36 times to 18 passes. but even then I played florida another time and they were a little pass heavy so I think it depends on the coaching strategy and the strengths of the team you are controlling as well. I have been very happy with the run pass ration of the games I have played so far. im also playing on Heisman as well so that might make a big difference too.
