Too Easy to Get Top Recruits w/ Small Teams

As ULL, I am 1st for 2 5* recruits and a couple 4* guys. I don't believe a 5* recruit has ever gone to a non-BCS conference school, yet multiple 5* players have lower schools as their number 1. I believe that if a recruit has a playing time dealbreaker, it makes it too easy for smaller schools to get them. I don't believe it is a glitch, just a flaw with the dealbreaker feature.

DeAndre Brown was a 5 star recruit and he went to Southern Miss.

This will fall away as the season goes on and the bigger schools start recruiting. They don't seem to do it until late in the season.

I was leading for a bunch of 4 and 5 star guys early, but about week 7 or so I was being locked out by these recruits.

At least that has been my experience. I don't find it easy at all.

It's not common, but it happens. Seems to happen about once a year.

BYU alone had three in 2002.

Hell, Troy had a 5* recruit in 2007. TROY.

Yea, the big schools will steal away most top recruits once the seasons gets going. I will start at the top for several and then lose most. Hence why I focus on 3 stars with smaller schools.

what week are you in? Do you know how easy it is to get early leads on a guy early in the season, then the big guys come in and take over.

You can usually find a handful of good 4 * recruits rated well into the 70's that you can snag before the CPU starts recruiting them, or at least before they can catch up, even if you are a 1 or 2 * school. I've even recruited a couple of highly rated players that weren't even added to the board of another school. It's a problem I believe to be party related to the CPU not using all of its recruiting points week to week, and partly related to the "break into the top 10" feature introduced last year making it easier to build a lead until the CPU does recruit.
