Haven't gotten a football game in a few years, what is the overall opinion of this years version?

It's fun especially the running game. Sometimes it's hard as hell to stop somebody, but then it's easy to move the ball.

I don't really see any big flaws that would make me pass on it.

I've played NCAA '09, '10 and '12. I purchased '09 & '10 used for next to nothing. '12 I got for only $45 when Amazon was discounting the title at pre-release.

That being said, I unfortunately paid full price for this years version and I absolutely --- absolutely love it. Is it perfect? No, is it revitalized? No. I'm just happy I can pass the flipping ball without the defensive backs not jumping in the air 75% of the time and intercepting the ball. (a la NCAA '10).... so far no freezes in the 6 games I've played since Thursday. Expensive at $64, but I can easily see myself playing this into January/February.

Unlike NCAA '10, I haven't wanted to throw out my controller out the door due to a pick. Others may have their feelings, but really, really liking it.

If I didn't get it for $35 effectively with the toys r us gift card deal I wouldn't have gotten it. The gameplay took a step in the right direction, to be sure, but the overall game still has a ways to go. It really depends on what you play it for. If you play ultimate team and/or ranked matches, it's probably worth a buy. As someone who strictly plays dynastys online and offline, it isn't.

I'm going with buy. It is pretty good even with some of the flaws. It is the best of this generation.

I truthfully would wait till a patch drops which hopefully will fix the numerous amount of glitches, the game is definitely fun though.

It's good, not great. Haven't seen any improvements that have really caught my eye. Gameplay is better. Once the player named rosters come out, thats when things will get good.
