USC 3-4 defense under Clancy Pendergast

Clancy Pendergast is coming over to SC from Cal this year and is installing the 5-2 defense (really a 3-4), and I was wondering if anyone knew how he ran his defensive system at Cal? The particular fronts and coverages.

Re: USC 3-4 defense under Clancy Pendergast

Pendergast runs a lot of 4-2-5 in addition to the base 5-2 set. The 5-2 in NCAA Football is an inaccurate representation of that front because it uses five down linemen. Your best bet is to find a playbook with the 3-4 Predator and the 4-2-5. He's way more aggressive with his coverages than Monte Kiffin. Play your zones tight and take chances.

Interested in getting this info as well. I converted Oregon to a 3-4 and it works pretty well.
