Using games in the previous years as a basis:

If I start a dynasty and EA drops a patch or three, will I have to re-start my dynasty?

Think it depends on the patch. If it's to fix the coaching carousel and XP glitch that happens in Online Dynasties. I doubt you will have to restart. I'm not aware of any other glitches though in single player. Other than the 11 game schedule, which has never happened to me.

So all in all, really just depends on what they fix/change.
