Letter of Intent coach skill question

This perk gives additional points to spend in the offseason and a % to steal recruits. Does the % to steal recruits apply in the regular season also?

No it does not apply to regular season, that wouldn't make any sense.

edit: maybe it does, but I don't think anyone knows for sure

Re: Letter of Intent coach skill question

Ok, I guess I was holding out hope that some how it had an impact in the regular season. Because of the following: (maybe others have seen different out comes)

I am Duke recruiting against GaTech.

Player X has locked his recruitment. It's come down to GaTech and Duke.

Player has already visited both schools. Player X has both schools maxed green bars.

GaTech has a 300 point lead and is +15 each week.
Even at max points Duke will not close this deficit.
Is there any possibility that Duke could win this recruiting battle or is it just an inevitable march to failure?

if you stay close and the recruit doesn't commit, you could snag him in offseason recruiting by offering more points then Georgia Tech.

I know that part but that's not really the point I'm trying to make. for the purpose of this example let say the recruit is planning to commit week 14 and we are in week 12. Then there is no drama there because the lead school just coast to a close. But this is not just the case with Duke vs GaTech you could use this example for big schools too. Say Bama vs LSU and Bama has a +350 bonus points and LSU +330. If Bama has a narrow lead down the stretch they just keep giving max points and there is no last ditch effort that can be made by the 2nd place school to at least make things interesting.

Well you know what maybe it does work in-season.. I hope it does actually.. because it would be lame to 'have no shot' at recruits who you aren't gaining ground on. Who knows..

This was my initial thought on the recruiting. Unless a skills allows you to get a random commit, once you are behind you stay behind. Your only chance would be scheduling a visit first and getting the commit, or lucking out with a bad opposing visit.
