360 vs PS3

I had played the pre-release version of NCAA on the 360. I started a dynasty with ND and played through two games, one of those against Michigan. I know in the demo UM had gray face masks instead of navy.

When I played the pre-release the face masks were correct. Also, ND's helmets looked correct under the lights.

I purchased the PS3 version because more of my friends play on PS3. Started a ND dynasty and noticed UM's face masks are gray and ND's helmets look brown again under the lights.

Just curious if this is a PS3 thing or what. I thought the pre-release on 360 looked much better. Just curious to know if anyone especially had played on both consoles and what your experiences were.

I have a 59" samsung plasma and the jaggies and graphics were so bad on ps3 for previous versions (12,13) that I bought a 360 specifically for NCAA. It looks a lot better on 360 to me.

Other then the face masks did you notice any other issues with your ps3 copy? Like performance issues? I've got a ps3 copy sitting here that's either waiting to be opened or taken back and returned for a 360 version.

Really wanted to buy the ps3 version this year because I'm trying to move a lot of my gaming over to ps3 in preparation for getting a ps4. And also because I'm a big Michigan fan and have the Charles Woodson cover on ps1 and Desmond Howard on ps2 do figured for collection purposes it made sense to have Denard on the ps3.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Re: 360 vs PS3

I am going based on the pre-release version on 360. To me it looks much better. I am thinking of taking my PS3 copy back. The replays aren't as crisp, the face masks and ND's helmets were correct on the 360 version.

Kind of disappointed in the visuals on the PS3.

Re: 360 vs PS3

Wzup fellas. I have this eternal conflict every year lol. I posted on this subject in another thread on this topic earlier. After having spent time with both versions this year, the x360 version is the way to go. You will not be disappointed. Overall graphics are better on x36o, better controls (particularly player control), and much smoother menu navigation (custom playbook navigation, selecting plays, etc).

PS3 version has a tad clearer resolution but this comes at the cost of player jaggies. The fine detail of things are much better on x360. As you mention (helmets, face masks, grass, turf, etc.), are more clearer or defined on x360.Menu navigation on PS3 is better than last's year version, but nowhere near as smooth as the 360 version.

Have not played online so not sure on those issues. x360 is the way to go.

See and that does make the 360 version sound better but helmets and menu navigation aren't the "be all end all" with me. I am concerned with any slow down and overall smoothness of the game while I am playing.

I noticed when I played both demos that the game seemed smoother and quicker on 360 when I ran a no huddle offense. Playbook would come up quicker etc then the PS3 version. I just thought this may have been fixed in the retail release.

Thats what I am looking for answers on.

I was contemplating the 360 version but opted for the ps3. It's definitely got more jaggies during play. Kinda wish I would of went with the 360 version.

Regardless of jaggies how does the gameplay feel? Is it smooth? Or is there a lot of lag in between plays and what not?
