Just saw this happen. Tailed an athlete all year long. Had him set up for a week 12 visit. He commits to UGA the week before he visits. He still visits and decommits the following week. His recruiting has now opened back up. Didn't know this was in this year...pretty cool.

So u had him scheduled, he committed elsewhere, the recruiting news thing told u he commuted elsewhere... Then he still visits ? I'm confused. Did u keep him on your board?

Yeah. He visited the week after he committed to Georgia. Then visited me and then decommitted and reopened his recruiting. UGA is now off of his board altogether

I can't remember which article it was, but they did mention that EA had implemented decommitments this year.

Edit: this is the article I was thinking about but I guess it just says that the WVU team thought it was odd that in previous games, players didn't decommit.

Did the head coach from Georgia leave or get fired?

Because I noticed this last night when I was playing: I took a new HC job and looked at the end-of-the-year recruiting rankings. I noticed the school I was at before, Duke, had a lower recruiting ranking than what it was during the year. I was curious about that, so I looked at their team and found that a handful of recruits I got to commit to Duke during the season had decommitted. Unfortunately, I couldn't go and try to sway them to my new school. But I'm assuming because I left, and the offense I ran (the coach hired after me ran a completely different style of offense), they decided to bolt to a different school. And if that's the case, I like that they implemented that this year. Recruiting is just so much better this year than previous years.
