Existing Coach Retires?

Anyone ever started a dynasty with an existing coach only to have him retire a couple if years later?

Just started year two of my Dynasty. Beamer retired and Bud Foster took over at VA Tech. Age plays a role in this game. Coaches rarely hang around longer than they should, dragging the program down into mediocrity...uh, sorry, my personal issues came out there, anywho. Short answer, yes I have seen it and the older the coach at the start of your dynasty, the more likely they are to retire early on in your dynasty. Just checking, I see that Snyder isn't at KState at the start of year two. So I missed him stepping away in my carousel. Lowering the ages of coaches you want to hang around can combat this. I've never seen a younger, under 65 coach retire.

No. I'm controlling myself as a rookie coach. You were controlling him? Sorry if I missed that. I would figure controlling your coach would prevent the retirement. Ah I see, I read your post wrong. Started with/controlling. I think the age thing is the reason still even if you control them.
