Dumb decision that's costs you the game or injures star player

TAMU was beatin' the brakes off of me (as Bama) 38-10 in the last couple
of minutes. I kept tryin' to score because I sure needed to practice.
Maybe I shoulda benched McCarron earlier as he was sacked on the last play
& lost for the season. I wound up 9-4 on the season.

In NCAA '08 I think it was, I was playing as UNC and I had recruited this beast of an athlete; I was playing him on both sides of the ball trying to see if I could get him all the defensive and offensive awards. On offense he had ~4700 combined receiving and rushing yards and about 67 combined TDs and about 2000 return yards and 16 TDs and on defense he had about 27 sacks, 16 INTs and a number FFs and FRs. In the ACC championship up by 4 TDs VERY late in the 4th, playing D he already had 2 sacks and 3 INTs, I was trying to get him an even 30 sacks, so I blitzed him off the right side and got to the QB without getting touched; I hit-sticked the QB as he dropped back to pass getting the sack I wanted, but in the process I effectively ended his AND my teams season because on that play he broke his back and he was out for the rest of the season. We won that game, but lost the NC game to USC by 26, the guy was the team's offense(and a big part of the d) because I put all my efforts in to recruiting him and only had him and a few 3 star defensive players to show for the recruiting season.
