Seems like draw plays against the CPU this year just don't seem to work and more than 50% of the time (hell 80) it goes for a loss of yards. What up with that.

Seems fine to me. If the defense sends a blitz its gonna be a loss of yards most likely, but that's common sense. With draw plays, you hope the defense is sitting back waiting for the pass when you surprise them with a run up the middle. If theres a blitz, the halfback usually doesn't have much of a chance to avoid the blitz, because of the delayed handoff. If the defense is not sending a blitz but still gets you for a loss of yards everytime, your offensive line must be getting outplayed or you need to work on running the ball in practice mode, it takes practice to get down a lot of the new moves this year.

I've seen them get the "Set up" icon when placed next to some of the HB Slip Screen plays. Try pairing the two together.

I usually have success with draws, especially since I'm a pass heavy player. If the defense does an outside blitz, the draw usually works, but of course a blitz up the middle gives you no shot

In previous years you could run an offense with just passing and draws, this year not so much. The power run game has had such a boost if you run the ball it is better to do so out of the option or I form.

Nearly every draw I run in this years game is for negative yards, even when DMAC averages 8ypc (AA Ultimate Team).

With SMU (which is a run and shoot passing team), I have had some success with draws, but they do get stuffed on occasion. I just mix them in the middle of the games. I wouldn't call them in a critical situation, but I don't feel like they're "broken", either.

I actually think the blocking and running game improvements have helped. I used to be completely unable to run out of the shotgun, but now I can have some success, provide I'm patient waiting on blocks to develop, etc. Just like with the option, a lot of it is in the pre-play formation. If your run is to the outside and it looks they're blitzing from that side, audible to a dive or off tackle the other way.
