Icon5 west virginia PB - Colorado school of mines play?

Hey everyone,

Just wondered if anyone knows what the "Colorado school of mines" play (QB does a one touch pass to a sweeping receiver, made famous [kinda] by Tavon Austin & Geno Smith last year) is called/if it is in either the West Virginia Play book or if it is in the game at all.

Hope y'all know what I'm talking about, Been looking in wvu's pb & have been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, it is not in the game. I know exactly what play you are talking about.

2012 Orange Bowl or youtube any WVU highlights from the past 2 years. They use a variation of the play more than 50% of the time in every game.

If its in the game, its in the game. Except when its not. Great play, would be hard to insert properly.

The purpose of the "touch pass" is that if the ball is dropped it is an incomplete forward pass.....it takes some practice to get the timing down but in the end it is less risky than a handoff in that you could have a fumble and lose possession.
