Think of where the start of the target is on the ball, go up about 4 or 5 notches, but not to the very top, then go to the right about 2 or 3 notches, so you should be in the upper right quadrant of the ball, but still pretty close to the middle seam

This will give you a high velocity bounce, that will definitely go the required 10 yards and will usually bounce off one of their guys and give you a chance to recover it

That's exactly how I do it.

I'll try that. I got em a few times with the same concept, just at the bottom of the ball.

I'm 1-1 on NCAA 14 and have recovered several in past versions.

I usually kick the ball near the top of the point and angle it slightly to the left.

Slightly off topic but always enjoy when the receiving team's kick returner just pounces on the squib kick at the 10 yard line. /sarcasm

Anyone ever recover one without it bouncing off of an opposing player? Is that even possible on this game?

Had something similar happen. Been trying to recreate it ever since to no avail.

Re: Has anyone recovered an onside or squib kick?

I was playing against a friend and tried the squib kick technique others have talked about.

Kicked the ball directly and the middle frontline guy who turned to run. Ball was going directly at his back and instead of hitting him and bouncing off in some direction it let him catch the ball with his back turned. Cheeziest thing I ever saw lol

Maybe I got a bad disc or something but every time I onside or squib it they field it cleanly off the first bounce. Never once seen the ball bobbled. And then this happened after trying that technique maybe 20 times
