He's arguing that ratings matter. . .in an EA sports videogame.

One of the "adjustments" you can set in between plays is to tell them to focus on making the catch while sacrificing some of their ability to break tackles right after the catch. I almost always set that to conservative because I'd rather they have sure hands than drop a lot of passes but occasionally bust out a big play.

I never have problems with dropping passes.. probably because my wide receivers have usually 90+ catching. I sometimes go entire games without seeing any drops playing on default AA.

I get some drops with both of my online dynasties (Rice & Texas). They are both on the same sliders (SECElite - Heisman) with slight changes to boost the CPU run and USER pass coverage. I get slighly more drops with Rice, but it would be a lot worse if I didn't go for the safe/short passes more often.

The only 'problems' I run into -

* USER run game (at times) seems over-powered
* CPU run game (at times) seems under-powered
* CPU QB seems entirely too accurate sometimes
* USER pass coverage (most of the time) does not cover nor react well

I would not expect a defense like Texas to be allow a team like Iowa state to pass for 400 yards... but, as with any virtual/sim type game, you have to keep adjusting until you find that sweet spot for realistic results (as realistic as a virtual game can be, of course).

Re: Most Frustrating Edition of NCAA Football

idk if its me but besides the stupid servers dropping, im frustrated with the cpu running no-huddle offense all the time. i had 4 straight games where the all the ai did was no huddle. it was annoying and dukes qb went 42/47 passing i was like wtf but they only had 60 yards rushing -_-. other than that i love this game but they need to patch alot of stuff

Go back and play NCAA 12. Nearly unplayable now.

I'm happy to say I have not had any connection problems with OD, not the Commish changes popups. That seems like something that is sporadic at best. Hell, no freezes and god knows 13 froze plenty of times.

Re: Most Frustrating Edition of NCAA Football

The lack of job offers for non commissioners is for me THE reason why this year's game is the most frustrating.
