Ever sandbag another team in offline dynasty?

In my offline dynasty as HC a Eastern Michigan we just finished 11-1 and won the Sugar Bowl, while Texas went 6-7 and Mack Brown is on the hot seat.

Anyways, I'm thinking about playing some their games next season and getting Mack fired so I can get offered the job. Anybody ever done this before? Did it work?

nah but I have gone out of my way to use my spare points to recruit players my rivals are going after, in an attempt to steal them away just to end up usually cutting them from my team since I didn't need them anyway

I don't have much evidence to back this up, but I feel like whatever school I put as my alma mater, automatically has their program go down the toilet causing the coach to get fired so they can offer me the job. Try changing your alma mater to Texas and see if it helps

You might be on to something here. I'm Illinois and USC has been complete trash the last 3 years of my dynasty. I'm in the fourth. Not sure if Kiffen is still the cosch. If he is, that'd explain a lot...
