There are so many players in college that are 'amazing' and have great stats and they just dont get drafted - even if they are 'great'.

When I was at Ohio U. for my Masters they had a great HB, Kalvin McRae and I think the furthest he got was UDFA to the Chiefs. Was later cut by the Chiefs but had great stats -
  • 2004 - 142 att 559 yards 3.9 avg 4 td = 13 rec 172 yards 13.2 avg 2 td
  • 2005 - 209 att 1153 yards 5.5 avg 7 td = 13 rec 97 yards 7.5 avg 0 td
  • 2006 - 258 att 1252 yards 4.9 avg 15 td = 29 rec 280 yards 9.7 avg 1 td
  • 2007 - 294 att 1434 yards 4.9 avg 19 td = 29 rec 275 yards 9.5 avg 1 td

Re: Players Not Getting Drafted

I finally got madden and figured it out. Even though in NCAA it will say the player only graduated and doesn't show a projected round, they still show up in the imported draft class. My QB was just listed as graduated but once I imported the draft class to Madden he came up as a projected 2-round pick.

It sucks that you don't get the pro potential boost in NCAA but at least it doesn't affect importing the draft class

Re: Players Not Getting Drafted

I have a question that been bothering me for a couple of weeks.

On previous NCAA titles in offline dynasty mode if i had a great season and multiple "JR" athletes on the team perform well, they would declare early for the NFL draft and that is likely the case for NCAA 14.

I wanted to know does anybody else have this problem because I would put up great stats with my "JR" running-backs, Quarterbacks and Linebackers for multiple years but none of them is declaring early at all, not even other team "JR's" are declaring early. And this been going on for a couple of seasons. It is annoying because in previous versions of NCAA I would let them go off the League and have my incoming class fill up the vacant spots. But now I have a roster of over 90 players every year and I have to cut a lot of young guys because of it.

Does anybody else have this issue and if so have you found a way to resolve it??

Thanks

Re: Players Not Getting Drafted

I have played around six seasons or so and there are many times where players will declare early but it a heck of alot easier to convince them to stay than previous years. I would say I have at least 1 or 2 every year and haven't had one who has actually left yet lol If anything, I think they err on the side of staying too often

Yea it pretty weird. NCAA 13 I would have like 5 guys declare for the NFL every year. I was cool with it because my recruiting classes would always be in the top 5 and it would open up spots for the younger guys.

Guess I got to find a way to make room. Thanks tho!

Re: Players Not Getting Drafted

I never sway anyone (declarers or transfers) to stay as this is a decent way to try to keep my roster from becoming too overpowered compared to the CPU.

In my Michigan dynasty I had this many guys declare early for the draft.

2013:1
2014:2
2015:2
2016:2
2017:5 (these are JR(RS) from my 1st recruiting class and 1 SO(RS) from my 2nd class)
2018:2
2019:3
