I don't know the play, but if it's working almost all of the time, then it is cheese by definition (or at least my definition). There is no play in real football that works for a big gain almost every time (if there were then teams would call it all the time) so anything in a video game that works the vast majority of the time is cheese.

In real life, if something new and innovative comes around it will work well at first (IE. the wildcat) but real world coaches will adjust eventually and figure out how to stop it.

In a video game CPU AI coaches/players can't adjust because they're too stupid.

That post-streak route combo is perfect for beating the cover 2, in game and in real life. Not cheese.

Yeah it might work good against cover 2, but if start using it 10 times a game it won't in real life. Just like jello1717 said coaches would adjust to it. They would adjust to it during the game in real life.

So is running the same play that works over and over again in the game cheesing? Yes it is, plain and simple.

To me it is. If I have a play that works every time I use it, then I just don't use it, or I only allow myself to use it once or twice and never in a clutch situation.

That's what I do too. IE. in '14, trail shake:

is entirely too effective as the slot receiver running the shake route is open the vast majority of the time. Because of that I only allow myself to run that play once per game and never on 3rd down or in the red zone. If it happens to be the 1 time out of 5 where everyone is covered, then that sucks for me but it's still the 1 time I can run it.

To be fair, in the game, just about anything is good for beating Cover 2.
