Zone blitz
What is the best down and distances to use the zone blitz? Also what formations is it most effective to zone blitz against (i.e. shotgun 3 wide, I-formation, ace, etc.) ?

I'm pretty sure it is often used in 3rd-and-long situations.

Exactly! Also in any passing situation you could use it.
