Conference Prestige & Playing as an Independent

Notre Dame's Conference Prestige seems to be static at an A+. If I decide to move a team to independent status, will my conference prestige gradually increase if I perform well on a consistent basis? For an example, if I finish in the Top 10 every year for five consecutive years will my conference prestige get a bump eventually?

I haven't been around for a whole but are you saying that conference prestige never changes throughout a dynasty? If so that makes the editor a must-use took.

It does in online dynasties, not sure about offline

Conference prestige changes on a weekly basis based on how highly ranked are the top 6 teams in the conference.

The OP is asking about independents though and they're static (since they aren't in a conference. I think I remember that all independents have a mediocre at best rating except for Notre Dame because, well, they're Notre Dame.
