Homefield Advantage is gonna open a whole new can of worms Online...

I can see it now...

With all of the advantages to playing at home in 2005....

Who challenges who in a game is gonna be much more important.

I foresee many 5-10 min verbal battles....

Player 1: "GM?"

Player 2: "U play Str8?"

Player 1: "Yeah"

Player 2: "Ok, I'll challenge you"

Player 1: "Naw man...I'm home"

Player 2: "No way man...I'm home"

and on and on....

I know man, someone mentioned it'd be nice if EA put in a feature of "AGREE TO PLAY? Y/N" and you select teams, then the game randomly chooses who is home. That would be the best way to do it.

However I'll assume they won't include this. I will enjoy being the spoiler and beating ppl at home I guess that's all we can do is look on that side of it.

It depends on how the homefield is implemented. Even if the game is neutral site, one team will still be designated as the home team in exhibition mode.

Hah.... That is true... I guess the only way around it is if you're playing in an online league or something, and you have set schedules.

If they're smart they'll make homefield advantage a slider. For example, one of my friends always plays as LSU, however, we're pretty equal players. LSU should have the highest HFA in the game, thus he would win every home game, and that'd just get annoying.

I don't think homefeld will equal an automatic win. It should just put pressure on the visiting team to limit mistakes. Its more or less a momentum meter. The visitors may not be able to get the meter in their favor, but taking it away from the home essentially does the same thing.

I just hope people don't add it to the list of reasons why they lost (i.e. robo QB, comeback code)

Even if you have to add that to your list of reasons why you lost, at least that's an excuse you hear all the time in college football, or even in the pros. It is tough to close out games on the road.

You're much more likely to see a "we lost a tough one on the road" excuse come up on sportscenter after a game than you are a robo-qb excuse
