I know when I played at Texas that I felt faster and stronger and less winded during the later parts of the season. and it showed on tape as well. Compare any team as they play in early Sept. to the same team in Nov. and they will seem faster and more agile. It seemed that during 2-a-day workouts that the legs would get a bit heavy. As the season progressed I would get game legs; I felt faster.

Awareness does not change during the season because you focus on different teams' gameplans each week. I did not feel smarter or more able to discern plays when on the field. Maybe if we played the same team each week. But each team had a different philosophy and thus we had to prepare differently each week. It's like reading a new book each week. Nothing stays the same.

Just my 2 cents...

No college team just HS. But I did sleep in a Holiday INN last night.
