Bobby Petrino playbook?

I remember loving the hell out of the Louisville playbook in some older ncaa (pre-Falcons), my memory is fuzzy but he was gone already when ncaa 14 came out

Is there a playbook that is closest to his?

In NCAA 14 he's the HC of WKU.

Re: Bobby Petrino playbook?

The way Petrino calls plays is no different than most in that he sticks to the same 10 or so concepts and runs them over and over again from a ton of formations.

If I was you and I wanted to replicate his playbook I would create a new playbook using WKU's as a base. Keep all of the formations but slim the whole thing down to the same 10 concepts and put them in all of the formations. 3-4 runs and 6-7 pass concepts should be good enough.

I do know that Petrino runs a ton of HB Toss and his favorite pass concept is shallow cross.
throw in HB Iso, verts, and your favorite play-action concept and you are already half way there.
This philosophy can be applied to most of the offenses ran today, college or pro.

Hope this helps.
