Homefield Advantage sounds nice but...

What's gonna happen if a team like Rutgers goes thru the motions to build up a good home-winning record and becomes the toughest place to play? 20,000 fans are gonna really intimidate a team? I wonder if there is some kinda stadium-expansion feature??

From what it sounds like, the size of the stadium will play a roll in how hi they can go.

So that basically means that if a mid-level team with an average sized crowd becomes a national power after a bunch of good seasons and say, never loses at home, they still won't be one of the toughest places to play? Gotcha.

they are going to have to turn this off for online play or you'll have no one joining games to be the visiting team!

In what ways does it affect the opposing team?

Are stats/ratings lowered just a bit in a few important catergories?

Re: Homefield Advantage sounds nice but...

yeah thats true. Or maybe award more ranking points for a win on the road, thus the tradeoff would be more even. Say if 2 players are ecenly ranked at #100 play an online game. If the home team wins, they go to be ranked like #97, but if the away team wins, they're ranked #92. It'd make lower ranked opponents have to go to higher ranked opponents homefield just like in real life. If im the #1 ranked NCAA player. Ive got homefield advantage because I shouldnt have to travel to play. That's be like USC going to Clown A&M for a non-conference game.

Maybe what they should do is just have the higher ranked opponent automatically have home-field. Now there's a thought.

edit- I think as long as EA puts some incentive in for being the road team, it can counterbalance HFA nicely. If you get more ranking points for a road win than a home win, players can choose whether or not they want HFA.
