Question about downloading rosters

I am thinking about buying a x-port for my PS2 in order to be able to download the rosters with the players names, but I have a couple of questions. First, which should I buy, a x-port or action replay? Which one is better, and what are the differences between the two? I have a sharkport2, but my PS2 has stopped reading the disc, so that is why I am in the market for a new one.

Also, where can I download the rosters? I have saw the ps2rosters.com website, but is there anywhere else that I can get them?

Before you look into buying a new X-Port, turn your PS2 upside down, and more than likely it will read it. Also, rather than buying an x-port, you can call the X-Port customer service line, and tell them you have a newer version of the PS2, and they'll send you a replacement disc. You can still use the sharkport computer software with the X-Port disc. Hope that made sense!?!
