Best team and defense for cheese

I have a bet going with someone that doesn't understand what cheese is and he continues to do it, so I wanted to ask what works best against the almighty cheese.

Is he over using read option? Set your D-line to QB contain and user the linebacker on the strong side (usually the side the RB is lined up on, the QB will run that way when he keeps)

Thank you, not to much for read option but he always leaves the pocket and the AI breaks coverage and he will just run towards the sideline and hit a wide open reciever every time

I wouldn't play anyone who cheeses like that so I don't know if this works, but there's a gameplan setting to either have your D attack the QB when he scrambles (probably aggressive) or have your D play coverage when the QB scrambles (probably conservative).

Try setting that to play coverage (and probably manually spy someone to cover the QB) and see if that helps.

Ya I would say play nickel D if he's going 4 and 5 wide, then just user the nickel back as a QB spy. Then you just have to be good enough to chase him down and make the tackle when he scrambles, that all comes down to your stick skills

I would play a 4 DL front, set coverage to conservative(to stay with the WR), I would personally spy and follow his qb. Most people would roll their qb to the right. Get a team with a good tackling MLB with about good speed, 4 highly rated DL, That way way your DL gets a natural pass rush without having to blitz a lot.

There is also a pre-play D-Line setting for containing the pocket. The DEs move diagonally from the line but don't rush the passer; they create a pocket. May be useful to use on formations with 4 or more WRs.
