No, I don't sim. Only exception is I think I have accidentally advanced a week twice.

I think starting in 07 you can put some of your players through spring drills to get their ratings up which is cool. You can also assign jersey numbers to your freshmen in either 09 or 10. The recruiting process itself hasn't changed much since 05 though.

Besides the rosters and AI, what are the biggest differences in the games?

For instance, how is the dynasty different in '06 vs '11?

Do any of the versions allow for custom conferences?

Which years offer probation? Medical redshirts?

Is the presentation different? Any version offer pre-game, halftime, post-game which is better than the other?

That said. I loved '06 and '11. I'd probably go with the latter just because of updated rosters and playbooks.

The PS2 NCAA era was something special.

Leaguedaddy.com leagues really sucked me in as the Network adapter and online gaming started to flourish. I miss everything about those games from the menu and menu music to the simplistic online menu and lobbies.

I voted for NCAA 06, but I would have voted for NCAA 05. I preferred the old juke system at the time and even for 06 I used 05 controls. Also add in the fact that it really emphasized user control with user picks, catches, etc.. The guys I played with in my league knew me as the guy who played safety and robbed quarterbacks and receivers of their hopes and dreams. Eventually using the stick grew on me as time went on and EA took away the option to use older controls with NCAA 07(easily my least favorite NCAA game).

The most progress really happened from 10-11, though. That was such a huge leap in the right direction. 2010 was sort of trash, as much as I hate to say it. I played it, but it was never fun.

It's cool to reflect back on the past with these threads. I went way out of my way each year to acquire these games early.
