3-3-5 Stack Defensive Breakdown for NCAA 2005

This gives the player assignments for the new 3-3-5 Stack defense that's in NCAA 2005. You can start planning on how to attack your opponent's offense with it.

Not really, no other preview that I've seen has given the details on new plays. The only thing I've read about is home field advantage, Match up stick, dynasty, etc.

Good job, didn't realise the second safety was walked down to linebacker depth, now I know.

This seems like a good way to defend the option... am I right? With the athletic players on the perimeter(the N and D), it seems like they could be tough to get around or through.

Not sure how it will play in NCAA but your "Cougarback" "Loboback" etc. is the key. He will be the guy making most of the plays in this D especially against an option attack. So if he is good then it will probably succeed if he isn't then it may struggle. By the way the "Cougar/Lobo/Faclonback etc." is the deep middle safety. Typically a hybrid S/OLB that doesn't have many responsibilities other then reading plays and flying to the ball. Rarely is he responsible for man or zone coverage for that matter.

I don't know if the bomber does this for his job or what, but the dude KNOWS the game. I bought the playbook and have gone thru the sample film room stuff. It's always worth a read.
