Which team's playbook in game is most like TCUs new offense?

Re: TCU Playbook

I would probably say a customized version of Clemson, UNLV or Utah State. A good split between Pistol (60%)/Spread (40%). The kicker would need to be highly aggressive settings.

TCU runs your typical Air Raid offense so any of the default Air Raid playbooks should work. I don't remember TCU using many pistol sets but they seem to use mostly 4 and 5-wide sets along with some Split Slot stuff. Mike Leach's Washington State playbook is actually pretty close so that is what I would choose.

I'm quite sure that even in his playbook, most sets will have read option like Boykin at TCU would run sometimes so there's that.

Re: TCU Playbook

Yeah, I have not watched many TCU games, just some highlights. Looks like they are moving away from the pistol.
