Are the offensive formations listed, and if so, any new ones?

All the formations are the same, no new ones, however there are several new plays in each formation from the looks of it.

Re: Info from NCAA Football 2005 Strategy Guide

The entire book of teams was documented at maddenmania:
http://www.maddenmania.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=53042

Penn State comes in at 7 overall. My team Iowa has an overall ratings at QB of 95.

Let me just say that Iowa won't have a QB anywhere near 95 overall, and PSU won't be near 7th best in this game.

The ratings are quite mysterious. I'm thinking they're somehow weighted on depth and youth at a position. Teams like PSU probably got high ratings because of their rosters potential, not what it is now.

That's the only way I could justify such a rating.

IF these ratings truely do hold up, EA really screwed up and let a ton of bias from its programmers and designers into the game.

I'm doubting that, however.

Re: Info from NCAA Football 2005 Strategy Guide

i dont think Primas ratings are mysterious....however made several errors....Gtech RBs a rated 1 yes a ONE...and this is most likely true for alot of the ratings....Prima has a horrible track record when it comes to typos and misprints and this book seems to have several and I mean SEVERAL misprints and Typos...so take every rating with a grain of salt till you actually get the game and can make a more accurate determination of what teams are what.

EA screwed up if these are even close!

The ratings are horrible!

Iowa shouldn't have a 95 QB. BYU shouldn't have a 91 QB.

Utah is a 77 overall? That puts them around 88th in D1 -- this a consensus top 25 team. Also, Utah is below, BYU, Colo St, UNLV, New Mexico. Athlon, Lindy's, all have Utah and San Diego State as the top teams in the MWC ... Utah is 77, SDSU is 75 -- 5th and 8th.

Nevada 83, Auburn 82?

Fresno State 89, Tennessee 87? 89!!

Arizona 86, Oregon 86? Arizona just came off a horrible year.

Miss St 83, Wisconsin 80?

Temple 80, Clemson 77? 77!!

If this is even close then I'm going to have spend a few hours after buying it and bring things closer to reality.

Re: EA screwed up if these are even close!

WTH? If this is truly the rankings, then they have severly shortchanged us. Ole Miss will have one of the best special teams in the country in 2004 with the returning Lou Groza winner in kicker Jonathan Nichols and a punter that was Top 10 nationally in yards per punt last year. Our coverage teams are pretty good as well. A 78 rating is hardly representative of the guys we have on our special teams.
