Do you ever feel that the "good players" are only good because .......

they play with a good team.. i hear all these online and offline people around town and online chatter about how good they are because they did this or that.... Do you think they can honestly bring their level down to play with b- or c ball clubs and be just as competitive? I think the best players are those that don't stick with the michigan's, FSU, or USC's.

any thoughts????


(I'm not saying I can't go and play hand in hand against OU with a team like OSU. I'm just saying most of the top online users are using the high caliber teams)

I guess my point is, there is no way I can beat those guys with my team (UNM overall:B-) but I'd like to get challenging games out there.

Anybody NOT gonna play with a powerhouse online?

If i can get someone to matchup with me, I use the CATS, if not them then teams outside the top 10

MOst of the topranked Cheeseheads out there run with top ranked teams. Even though I am a USC fan, I actually prefer to run with lesser teams.

I even won a league I was in last year using Purdue. Not a bad team, but not a powerhouse either.

Even though I've never played online much, that's what I had always heard. That everyone takes either OU, USC, Miami, Texas, etc.

I enjoy playing with middle-of-the-road teams because not every player on the team is a badass. You've got to know your team and plan out stategies to win, not just overpower people with superior talent.

Do you think its easier for people using teams like purdue to step it up and play with a better team, than to play with a great team and try to run that same system with a bad team.. it's kinda like riding around in a geo metro and all of a sudden stepping up to a BMW. The BMW driver is gonna have a tough challenge of stepping his game down to the confinments of the metro's motor, but now that the metro driver has some leeway to do as he please's, he can do it without a hassle. Thats How I feel about the guys who play with top teams sometimes... they only play with the best because they take the easy way out of actually learning how to play a game and pass the ball.
