I'm not saying I can't defend the long pass, I'm saying it seems kind of lame that if you throw a pass high enough or with enough arch there's no possible way to defend it. It's kind of demoralizing when you have three d-backs smothering a reciever 40 yards down field only to watch the pass fall right into the recievers hands for a huge gain when you called the right defense....it's even worse when you have the guy 3 on 20+ yards. It doesn't seem to happen as often in Madden or ESPN....just kind of wierd. Imagine if someone actualy exploited it to the point where that's all they did the whole game and scored a td everytime they touched the ball because it is possible. And there's nothing you can do about it.

What teams are you using or what are the matchups? If you're using a top notch WR then that's gonna happen on occassion. I saw it happen a ton the last few years, but so far I haven't seen the 1-on-3 reception at all in '05.
