A good percentage of the games end up getting released. Less than 5%(from what I last saw) are cancelled. The problem is the development tends to take longer than the companies expected/said it would take. If someone is truly worried that their money might go to waste because there is a chance the game doesn't come out, then being a backer is not for them. It's called being a backer for a reason.

I feel that its so much to make for a football game from scratch. By the time the indy devs are done 2k/EA will have a game out. Im not expecting much but ill keep my eye on this post from time to time. They still havent convinced me.
