Temple Owls Dynasty!
Ladies and Gentleman! I decided to create a thread for my epic dynasty with the Temple Owls! In the American Conference! Hold on to your butts!
The American Conference, which consisted of
Temple
UCF
USF
Louisville
SMU
Houston
Connecticut
Memphis
Cincinnati
Rutgers
2013, In our first season as head coach, Temple went 11-2, winning our Bowl game... Although we had a great first year, Temple did not finish in the top 25. A very peculiar scenario took place in the BCS, when an undefeated Louisville faced an undefeated UL Lafayette in the National Championship, leaving a 1-loss SEC-champ Alabama at #3.... UL Lafayette won the BCS NC, only to fall off the map of college football in later years...
Temple gets the #6 recruiting class.
2014, In our second season, Temple went 10-3, winning our first American conference championship, and winning our first BCS bowl game, the Fiesta Bowl... Temple, contrary to last season, actually finished in the top 10... #8 Temple (10-3)!
Temple gets the #1 recruiting class (Yes, even I was shocked haha).
2015: We start as pre-season #25... The American conference has officially expanded, being split into two divisions… We decided to start with something unique, much like the Big Ten did with the Legends/Leaders division split. Thus Modern/Classic was born!

In year 3, Temple posted an 11-1 record in regular season play, reaching as high as the #1 seed in the Media and BCS poll… Before losing in week 11 in a close fought battle AT NAVY, 42-36… Temple dropped from #1 to #8… We never recovered back to the top… And ended the regular season at #5, following a win in the American Championship against, a surprisingly un-ranked Notre Dame (ND lost key non-conference match-ups).
We went on to play Texas A&M (rematch, we beat A&M 62-42 in the Chik-fil-a Kick Off in week 2) in the Orange Bowl and won big, again, 52-45…. In the BCS, an undefeated OSU (13-0) faced a (12-1) Virginia Tech in the BCS NT… OSU won, finishing 14-0… After Temple’s Orange Bowl victory, we finished #2 in the rankings, behind only OSU. Temple finished 13-1, and the School is now a 5-star prestige.
Temple gets the #2 recruiting class.
2016, The American conference gets another adjustment, stripping down to 12 teams, and expanding their prestige… We decided to ditch the Modern/Classic layout, and moved to a North/South layout… Teams such as Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Texas A&M received the epic invite, and became new members of the conference. The American conference is now the top conference in the Nation, with 7 teams ranked in pre-season the top 25.

Temple comes in as preseason #12
I am currently in week 11 of year 4… Temple is 8-0 and the unanimous #1, having BY FAR the toughest strength of schedule… Weeks 1-7 consisted of wins against:
W vs #8 South Carolina - 20+ point win
W vs #2 Ohio State - 20+ point win
W vs #12 Oregon - 15 point win
W vs #7 Miami - 30+ point win
W at #4 Texas A&M… This game was very tight; the final score was 28-27 Temple.
Temple was shocking the entire country, following BLOW OUT wins against Top competition; the perception of the team was becoming real. After these games, Temple’s schedule lightened up a bit…
Week 10 vs Notre Dame… #1 Temple (7-0) is stunned going into the second half, down 23-8… Midway through the 3rd quarter, Notre Dame Takes a 30-8 lead… Temple scratched and clawed back. Then, late in the 4th, was down 36-37… Temple’s defense makes a key stop, and gets the ball back, with no timeouts, and a minute left. They drive down the field, and make the go ahead field goal; Temple wins the game, 39-37… An epic game!
Temple sits as the only remaining undefeated team in the country… at 8-0!
Recruiting still in progress.
