this is really tempting to try. interesting that splitting the big 12 teams into the sun belt as well adds a 6th power conference.

How do the AQ for the BCS work under this alignment?

I went with some old bowl alignments...

Rose Bowl: Big Ten and Pac-12
Orange Bowl: Big XII (Big 8)
Sugar Bowl: SEC
Fiesta Bowl: no affiliations

The ACC and American (Big East) weren't locked into a particular bowl, but they would be an AQ in the BCS.

The Sun Belt (Southwestern Conference) champion would play in the Cotton Bowl usually against the #2 team from the SEC, Big XII (Big 8), or a strong Independent. Back then, the Cotton Bowl was comparable to the Rose, Sugar, and Orange Bowls in stature. I'm sure you could make the Sun Belt (SWC) champion an AQ into the BCS if you wanted to.

Re: Anyone tried no conf title games?

just finished the last week of the regular season trying this out and the weirdest thing happens. when trying to advance the week to "championship week" (keep in mind there are no championship games, it auto advances all the way through bowl season. it sims all the bowl games but just doesn't stop to let me actually play it. anyone seen this? so bizarre

also I did not get my conference trophy awarded either.

yeah this is weird. So by removing all conf title games (every conference has <12 members), the game automatically skips conference championship week. and in so doing, also skips awarding conference champions. I won the big 12 but did not receive my conference championship trophy. additionally, when I look at my contract screen, the conference logo doesn't show up for this season. I checked other schools and it didn't register for them either, so it appears that no schools won conference titles this year. Bizarre??

Re: Anyone tried no conf title games?

does anyone know how to edit historical conference championships (in the team summary and coach contract screens) as well as the trophy case? I want those to accurately reflect the conference titles that don't seem to have registered by skipping conf champ week.
