Help! Game cuts to black whenever I try to start a game

Hey recently whenever I try to start a game the screen cuts to black and the game freezes. I looked at the disc and it is in good shape (no scratches or smudges) What could be the issue?

Not sure what the issue could be, but can you expand on the details? Which version of the game? Xbox or PS? Goes black before the main menu or playing a game (if game, play now, dynasty, or RTG)? Custom rosters? Recent editor changes? The more details you can give, the better chance someone will be able to help.

Basically on any mode after I pick jerseys and teams and try to launch the game ( Play a Game). The loading screen pops up like we are about to get into the game but then it cuts to black and hard freezes.

I have it on PS3 and deleted all my uniforms, teambuilder teams and rosters
