Yeah... but this will only affect the CPU teams that you play and their QB's... If that were the case, there might be a problem with the simming engine and we couldn't fix that... I'm more concerned about getting the CPU QB that I'm PLAYING to throw the ball more effeciently... and that's what is happening now....

I'll have to look at it more closely when I get home and check out the stats. I'll sim ahead....

Pared, your insight has persuaded me to give this game another chance. As I stated earlier, the college game is the one I look forward to the most every year. Again, I can't believe the number of posters telling people that they needed to practice, get better at the game, throw hard, throw soft, read defences, ect.., when this subject came up originaly. For the last time, it's not my numbers that I can't accept, it's the CPU QB and passing game!

N/P! I've never given up on NCAA... i've always found it enjoyable regardless, but was just bored the other night and wanted to mess with a few things... and stumbled upon this.

Anyway, just FYI, I'm using Jistic's sliders found in the slider thread, as well as some other tips I know. Here's one:

On a drag route, oddly enough, most times you have to hold the analog stick in the OPPOSITE direction the WR is running... or else you will overthrow the WR. I think maybe EA didn't tweak the code to "lead" a WR running across the field properly, and you have to compensate for this overthrow.

Try it! I posted it a while back but only a few users saw it and took advantage of it. The post then continued to be swallowed alive....

Thanks for the tip. I followed Jistics sliders unfold before, so I'll be using them again. I just wanted to that it's guys like you, Jistic and all the others on this site who work so hard to correct some of the problems in these games. EA should be paying you guys!!

I think you need to have hfa off to get the drops down. with Screen shake off i still get a lot of drops.

explain this to me like i'm a 5 yr old. i have ncaa football 2005 for the ps2, but i only played it twice, hooked on espn 2k5, what is HFa? and why do i have to turn it off to make it a better game? please explain....................sjj2xs

Home field advantage is the feature were the crowd goes nuts when your on the road and rattles low composed players. Have you seen the circles under the players when you push up on the right thumbstick? they are composure ratings, empty circle means rattled, half circle means semi composed, and full circle means composed. Ratings fluctuate during the game based on performance during the game. Wr's seem to if they get rattled drop an incredible amount of balls and it takes the fun out of the game imo.

Pareds theory is if you turn the hfa and screen shake off that the drops will reduce to a reasonable amount. However it still wont help the cpus god awful passing attack. I havent tested his theory out yet because its still baseball season and im still playing mvp so ncaa is resting because i got frustrated with it. I hope i explained it somewhat. Somebody probably can explain it better.
