Re: NCAA 14 Onside Kick help

Move the crosshair to the bottom left of the football. The sweet spot is like a fraction of an inch from the very bottom left. You’re then gonna want to stop the power just at the start of the final (the biggest) notch. I would say I recover between every 1 in 5 and 1 in 10 onside attempts. I was actually able to complete a comeback 52-49 win against Troy like 2 days ago because I recovered an onside kick with 58 seconds left. My kicker is a mid 70’s kicker and I use the community sliders which may factor in but I’ve pretty much had success with onside kicks in every football game I’ve played since Madden 12 and I’m almost certain I had success without using sliders in NCAA14 as well.

Re: NCAA 14 Onside Kick help

In practice mode, my only success recovering onside kicks was using a non-kicker. I squib kick it with as little power as possible and aim the crosshairs as far right as possible. If you do it right and have fast players on that side, you can sometimes recover it before the other team can

A while back, I took this man's advice and it's the most success I've ever had with onside kicks. I second all of this. Aim = all the way to the left and down, Power = just short of full power/roughly 95% on the power meter.

Re: NCAA 14 Onside Kick help

Choose the Squib Kick play first off.. Then move the aim arrow all the way down and to left for right-footed kicker (IDK if dominant foot makes a difference). With the right stick move to about 4 o'clock, wait for the strength to fill and go down to a range of mid to ALMOST no power and strick it to 11 o'clock. The power depends on the kicker. The specifics a re kind of guesses so mess with this just a bit. It has to be squib. in the circle next to the meter their one or two lines that cross through a right stick logo. You want the line you control to look horizontal. Works best against regular kick return formation.

Re: NCAA 14 Onside Kick help

adding another kicking question to OP, has anyone EVER had a squib kick get past the 2nd line of the KR team?
I've never, no matter what adjustments one can make, gotten the ball through in '14.
Thank you to responders for the onside tips. Never had success there either.
