Slimmed down highly effective 3-4 defense book?

Want to make a switch to 3-4 but don't ever make defense books and looking to slim down to only best/working formations/plays. Any guys that play 3-4 make you're own books mimd sharing? Just want to reduce any redundant plays that are exactly the same from multiple forms for an easier time with learning the book. Any help appreciated.

I use the 3-4 multiple book and use the multiple formations for formation subs. That way I can still get the same looks while swapping defensive lineman in/out. Just something to consider

Re: Slimmed down highly effective 3-4 defense book?

If you're only going to use two or three sets, I personally like odd and predator the most. Odd to me seems like base 3-4 and predator is the 3-4 that sees a line backer put a hand in the ground as a pass rusher. I find even has some good zone plays for pass defense.

Nickel I basically just use 2-4-5 and 3-3-5 Sam. Though I occasionally like to run 1-5-5 prowl because it's realistically unpredictable and I have more depth at the linebacker positions than in the secondary or on the line.

No formation by itself is highly effective. 3-4 does not translate well to the game because the lack of defensive backs with how OP the CPU pass offense causes issues staying in base defense.
