I agree. I don't necessarily have a beef with the current system, but this one would be better. You can't always put a WR at CB and have him shut someone down in real life, but you can in the game.

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. Whenever I'm playing ESPN I never have to assume because there are so many specific ratings that I can put the guy on the field to do EXACTLY what I want. In NCAA and Madden there's a level of guessing that goes into it.

For example, say I want to have OLBs who cover well. There's a coverage rating that I can look at and have exactly what I want. The overall rating in ESPN is useless, well, not useless but you don't need it as much as the individual ratings.

thing is, ncaa is purely based on athletism...which i dont agree with

there are some "skill" players in the game...more ratings should be in the game to represent that

there is no coverage rating, separating DB's b/c they are all programmed alike, imo...yes there are different overall ratings, but that is just a mask, that only affects how well they cover the deep ball...they are all capable of making the same plays on each play

im still doing some research on this..but i have found several variables; quarterback animations, reaction time, player to field scaling, and button response

rating system is flawed...players are off by as much as 10 overall points

i understand you wouldnt factor in QB ratings and P and K ratings into a defensive player, they are all 40 btw...it still doesnt make sense how they get the overall ratings...just do the damn avg. stop cheating
