Is it me or does the play clock seem longer this year?

I know it's same time as last year, but doesn't it seem as if it takes them longer to actually start the play clock this year which kind of takes some of the excitement away from the shorter play clock in the college game? Was there a rule change that I'm not aware of where the start the play clock at a different time?

the ref has to spot the ball before the clock will start, so the game clock would be running, and the ref would spot the ball like 7 seconds afterwards

maybe that "slows" the fee of the game

yep, they take longer to spot the ball. It used to be as soon as you got to the play screen it started, not very realistic. But now its as if the referees are still getting the ball and its more of a "real-time" feel when certain spots take longer than others.

I know I've broken the huddle with 23 seconds on the clock.

Yeah it's good. Too bad they made a lot of cut scenes unable to "x" through it. A lot of times the ref is just about spotting the ball by the time you can get to the playcall screen, or by the time you can get your guys to start carrying through with no huddle.
