(NCAA 14) Option Pitch Accuracy Tied to QB Awareness?

Short version: Does a QB’s AWR affect the accuracy of an option pitch?

Long version: I’ve never worried much about a QB’s awareness rating because I make the reads when I play. I’m currently in year 1 of an Earlham College Hustlin’ Quakers dynasty running the triple option offense. My QB is fast as sh*t, but had something like 50 AWR. I’ve noticed between 5-8 pitches to wing backs go way in front or behind the runner for a fumble. I’ve never consistently had this issue in running this offense, and I’ve done it quite a bit in 14.

I did some testing in practice and it does appear to be connected. I didn’t have definitive results, but with all other ratings the same the 99 AWR QB didn’t miss the back on 10 pitches and the QB with 0 AWR missed once. Very small sample size, but I ran out of time. In game, my 20 AWR QB keeps missing the back with defenders around.

20 awr QB sounds more like a RB/WR and that's why they miss the pitching. They are not QB's and therefore the speed is nice but not aware enough to make reads in the QB spot.
