school type?

I am back to NCAA Football after a bit of a hiatus, so this is my first forray into the Online Teambuilder tool, whicih I love by the way, I am having a blast creating logos and uniforms to match.

But I have question. I did a serach of this forum but to no avail.

What is the purpose of the "School Type" drop down menu? Does it affect what I can do in terms of importing them into the game come release time? Is there really a difference? And what is the purpose of "other"?

It has no effect on how the team can be used in the game, it's merely a search feature.

it helps to remember which one you choose when importing in to your game. school type is part of search engine. and if you make alot of teams. if you want something to be not taken so seriously as a college team you can put other. you make a real fcs school, you can use that catagory so people can find it. sometimes you find intresting stuff when you search -other- on TB haha-
