Calling it bile isn't challenging it

Exactly. In the madden forum he'd be all over anyone posting that nonsense. Yet he has to find a way to pollute this forum too.

I don't think i'd expect much at this point. I wouldn't even expect 2k21 to be any good. They're getting about a year and half to develop a football game. I don't know if they have an engine or not, but I would guess that it's going to be very bare-bones if they don't.

For me, the beauty of this is NOT knowing what to expect. It's been a LONG time since I've been this excited about the future of football gaming.

I think the sun will go supernova before you see a criticism about Madden that you don't vigorously attack.

I get it though. I'm the same way with my brother's studio's upcoming game (although his game is the physics based one of the two coming to the market this year, so I feel like my bias is justified. Physics >> canned animation)

Re: OS Roundtable: The 2K and NFL Are Back Together, What Do You Expect?

2K is known for its immense depth so even though it says "non-sim" I am hoping they make a Head Coach/GM game. Maximizing on franchise depth, customization, and presentation.

I have zero interest in arcade football and it would be a waste of 2K's talents. My 2 favorite football games of all-time are by far, 2K5 and NFL Head Coach '09, merge them, update them, and give us franchise geeks the game we've been longing for.

There was something I saw that I thought implied multiple series’s were being made. But I would love for them to just make a very in depth “manager” game, basically NFL Head Coach. They can show off potential gameplay we can see in a future NFL sim game along with the depth of a franchise we can expect from an all out sim NFL game.

I don’t think 2K will take this lightly, this is a huge opportunity and I’m sure it won’t be wasted.
See... I am an old school gamer. I want to pop in the game and play franchise mode and nothing else. I don't care about "be the GM mode where I can only assemble the game but not play." I don't care about "be the player" mode where I have to go shopping for an apartment and figure out how to decorate my apartment. I don't care about being drafted and having to meet challenges blah, blah, blah. I just want to build the team and play with the team I build.

Hence, my extreme reservation of this "non sim" game.
