So money be damned in the case of any lawsuit right?

(We don't know what the rules are, Canes can explain if needed. But 2k isn't going to violate the rules no matter how much any of us would like them to)

They don’t have to. They just have to make it possible for US to violate them. For example, a PC release that is mod friendly.

EA didn't get in trouble until they allowed US to add names to the players they were obviously recreating.

You think something like that would go over again with no one noticing?

To be fair, the likeness is what got EA in trouble, not the customization. The timing was all about the dispute raised by a few individuals. There are roster shares in other pro games that allow creation of players who did not give permission, ex: Charles Barkley, Barry Bonds, just to name a few. Those games aren't getting in trouble.

EA got as close as possible with likeness as possible. Where Hometowns were as close as real life counterparts in the NCAA games.

I'm more than 2k has strict guidelines of what they can do

Man one thing I hope 2k keeps is tiered play calling. Went back to APF2K8 and made a team with a great defensive line, actually being able to call twist and stunts with blitzes and coverages behind them make the game feel so much more rewarding.

Man this would be a dream come true for me. Give us the players, a real franchise mode and the classic 2k gameplay and who even needs the nfl shield?
