From what I saw, you have a certain number of plays available. Practice mode wasn't working quite right yet, but it seemed really promising based on what did work.

Absolutely. You can chew out any single player out or a unit, and they may react favorably or unfavorably. A little plus or minus sign will float above them, a la the Sims, after you "aggressively" (Parcells) or "passively" (Vermeil) motivate them.

First part: Yes. You can sim ahead at any time.
Second part: I have no idea - but I saw some concept art on the walls. Shh...

So you did everything with a headset? How do you think it would play out for a user without a headset.

How much of a "Sims"-like atmosphere did you detect in this game? IE: How often did you find yourself having to please players and keep them happy during the course of a season?

Re: NFL Head Coach: Hands-on Q&A

1. Strategy- Can you set you a gameplan during the week and carry that over to the game? ex. If a team is weak against the run can how can i use that to my advantage.

2. Draft - How does the combine work ?

3. Draft - Are they any college all star games? if so can you scout them out?

4. Gameplay - Say i'm talking to my QB during the game is there a set list of topics to tell him or can i make up my own.

5. Gameplay - Can you play 2 player co-op? ex. 2 humans coaching on the same team

6. Gameplay - Will it be harder to win a game/ Superbowl then in most sport games?

7. Playbook -Say i put a play thats in my playbook and set it for 2 and short. Does it have to be 2 and short for to call it?

8. Since players are allready scouted by MK for 40 years. Will everyone have the same players in the 08 draft?

sd, how much control are you given over things like the following:

1) Type of pass protection you want to run
2) Formations and pre snap movement in your offense
3) Front shifts in your defense

How do audibles work?

From a gameplay perspective, would you say the game moves alot like the current NCAA and Madden?

I played without the headset, and it was fine.
You can choose to use the headset if you'd like - but it's not required.
