Official "Bugs, glitches, errors" thread

Might as well post this now, I'm sure they are coming. No bugs (except for Cognog being drafted top 10 every draft) but a couple glitches. One, as I said in the other thread, my box spine has the N in NFL in blue, looks goofy. Figured we might as well start this off with a funny glitch.

One serious one, which could be just random. In my game when it got to the 2 minute warning, it said QTR BRK. And the screen scrolled End of first quarter at the top. Found that odd.

Re: Official "Bugs, glitches, errors" thread

Ok, this is weird. This is regarding the PC version.

I'll preface this by saying I have TW06, MVP05, and Madden 2006 installed on my computer, all installed, and play fine.

For some unknown reason, I can't install the game on the PC, in fact, when I get to the "Terms" page, there's no text to read, and accept/decline.

This is the error I get:

Quote:
Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 9.0C or

higher installed on your system.
I installed 9.0c SEVERAL times to resolve this issue, with no luck. The in-game Check System recognizies that the PC has 9.0c installed.

I'm at a loss, and EA Tech Support is closed to day for training.

Anyone else experience this, or have a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Installed the game. Now I'm getting a Windows Send/Don't Send error every time I double click the NFL Head Coach icon. Rebooted, to no effect. Now, my CD-ROM drive has disappeared from My Computer. Really starting to freak me out. I reboot, and the drive is back, but still get the error. Any ideas?

Yup, it was the CD-ROM drive. Replaced it, and installed and runs without a problem.

Unfortunately, there are multiple versions of DX 9.0c, the revisions now go by date. Just install the latest version from Microsoft, or maybe the version on the Head Coach disc.

As I mentioned before the game runs in slow motion.

I scored a TD on a QB sneak at the goaline and the field announcer said the play was for a loss of 1.

If you get directx 9.0c not installed error when installing but you know you have it installed from checking dxdiag or the ea easy info check, here is the fix that worked for me:

To get around this cycle, follow these steps if you are using Windows XP:

1.
With CD 1 in the disk drive, open My Computer.
2.
Right-click your CD drive and choose Explore.
3.
Right- click Autorun.exe and choose Properties.
4.
Select the Compatibility tab.
5.
Click once in the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for:
6.
Select Windows 2000 from the drop down menu.
7.
Apply changes.
8.
double click Autorun.exe
