What kind of coach are you?

How are ya'll handling your players? Are you mostly aggressive, mostly passive, or keeping it balanced? I'm coaching the Cardinals and started out being more passive but I noticed that a lot of guys respond well to aggressive tactics, at the right time. However, Kurt Warner doesn't seem to do well with any type of motivation, except from maybe his wife. I was just curious to see how other people are handling their players.

Re: What kind of coach are you?

I just played my first regular season game (spanked the bengals with the chiefs) and I have found that if the players are doing good it is best to leave them alone, however, if they are sucking you have to motivate them. By the time I played the preseason games I was able to get a feel for what it takes for individual players. Thats what is cool; they are all different.

Another thing I found is that interceptions are lower in the regular season than in preseason. However, they seem to corelate to how well your team is prepared.

Im more of the motivational, conservitive, quiet coach. Along the lines of Tony Dungy in Tampa.

Re: What kind of coach are you?

Do you guys trust your coordinators or are they just on your staff? What I mean is, do you let them call the plays or do you call them yourself? Since I've got Martz as my OC with his 93 rating, I tend to let him do his thing. Although, I'll stick a money play in there sometimes when I think it's what we need to convert that 3rd & Short. My DC has a 77 rating but they've been hard to gain yardage on under him. I love my coordinators!

I'm a controlling hardass.

My Jags are 2-1 in the preseason right now.
