Can anyone give me some assistance on contract negotiations etc? I had no idea that coaches had a part in signing players. I thought it was all front office work. I've always let the cpu handle this in Madden because I end up giving guys exactly what they want and then find myself at the cap limit. Any tips on how to negotiate deals etc. would be appreciated.

You can bump up the signing bonus and lower the total salary which will free up some cap space.

Not exactly. Even if you cut a player, you're still on the hook for his signing bonus.

How do you determine the amount of years to give a player on his contract?
