Re: Success?

This game sounds really lame if you can go 16-0 every season. I want a challenge, i don't want to win the superbowl every year.

Who went 16-0 every season?

I'm barely into week 8 of my first season and I'm 5-3 right now with the Cowboys.

I don't much of anything so that might be why I haven't played a full season yet. This game is really time consuming and I've had a blast micromanaging my team each week to try to and get them prepared and play well in games.

It's been the most fun I've had with any football game and I'm huge Madden and NCAA fan.

Same here!

Hey, what do you think about my Lions going to the Superbowl? I didn't really add any big names save for Terence Holt who hasn't played a down this season. I'm starting a rookie qb who finally started to really produce at the end of the season. I've got Chris Brown toting the rock for me and Kirtman (R) blocking for him. Roy Williams is rated as a 91. My entire OL is in the 90's. Hmmm, with my line, a mobile QB and Chris Brown's 85 rating...we might pretty good after all.

That's pretty good getting them to the Super Bowl. They do have some talented WR's and if your OL is that strong then I would'nt say it's unrealistic. Most likley if you hadn't spent so much time developing your QB then chances are he would have brought down the hole team so the fact that you coached him up allowed him to get your team to a super bowl.

Hey remember as young guy's both "Big Ben" and Brady did it for their teams very early in their careers so that's not impossible IMO.

Everything starts up front and if your OL is that good it's makes your RB's and QB's much more effective aswell. I have an average OL and takes the entire week of practice to get them maxed out ratings for gameday and even then I still struggle to get a consistent running game going. But I love how Young has improved as the season has moved on for me.

Re: Success?

With KC I started 15-0 and played a 7-8 Jags team my last game. It looked like a team trying to knock off the big dog. My KC team came out flat and played horrible. Lienart got hurt for the game in the second quarter. We ended up losing 23-16. Tony G dropped what would have been the game winner in the endzone on 4th down with 10 ticks left. This game was unusual, since I usually blow teams out. I hope my team steps it up in the post season. My OC quit after the game too. Good thing, otherwise I might have fired him.

The only guy on my OL below at 90+ rating is Kyle Kosier and he's an 85! I was hoping I'd get to play the Superbowl today but since I mowed the lawn this morning and that "hawk" (heat for the non-southerners ) beat me down, I fell asleep earlier. I woke up and ate dinner but since there's two weeks before the game, I'm still preparing my team. The more I look at things, the more I see that these off v. def practices hurt my qb. I'm now gonna shoot for improving player's ratings as I believe that if you get their ratings up then they should be able to run plays that you didn't spend all week practicing. Any thoughts?
